We have four receptionists to greet you, schedule appointments, and refer you for diagnostic studies or consultations with other doctors.

              Each physician has a nurse primarily assigned to him/her. However, our nurses function as a team and help each other as needed. You should consider all our nurses as YOUR nurse. Our nurses are well educated professionals whom we trust to handle complex medical questions under our supervision. Unless you have an appointment with one of the physicians please address all questions regarding your illness, medications, diagnostic procedures, etc. to our nurses. They will obtain all necessary information from you and, if necessary, will discuss the information with your physician. Please call for refills on your medications during regular office hours or use our E-mail service. We encourage you to call or e-mail our nurses with any questions or concerns. Many times our nurses will be able to handle your problem by telephone. More complicated problems will require an appointment with your physician.

                Our medical assistants will prepare you for your appointment. They also perform EKG's, cardiodynamic testing, draw blood, give injections, do pulmonary testing, bone density testing, and assist our physicians with procedures.

                 We are a CLIA certified laboratory (following all regulations mandated by the federal government and the Indiana Department of Health) and we run most blood tests onsite. Our laboratory supervisor has over 10 years experience in our lab.

                  If you have insurance, we will in the file a claim for services provided in our office. Our patient account supervisor has been with our practice for over 15 years and is extremely knowledgeable about health insurance. We make every effort to obtain payment from your insurance company, often making multiple telephone call on your behalf. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions about your account.

                  Our practice coordinator is an RN who has been with Internists Associated since 1981.  Please stop in see her, call her at extension 106, or e-mail her at practicecoordinator@internistsassoc.org if you have any questions or concerns. She welcomes messages and visits from all patients and their family members.

                    Our transcriptionist assists with the production of the many forms and letters required for communication with other physicians, insurance companies, and employers.
